"The four
Foundations are the pillars of the diffusion of education"
Between 1968 and 1969, Krishnamurti created the first three Foundations.
The Krishnamurti Foundation Trust based in Brockwood Park,
London; the Krishnamurti Foundation of America based in Ojai,
California; and, the Krishnamurti Foundation India based
in Madras.The Hispano-American
Krishnamurti Foundation (FKH) was created by Krishnamurti
on December 19, l970, in Puerto Rico, and he designated as its Founders
Enrique Biascoechea, Isabel Vega de Biascoechea, Salvador Sendra,
Sara Lugo de Sendra, Felix Marquez, Miguel A. Quiñones and
Juan A. Faría. (All Latin American residents).
It was the
Fourth Foundation created by Krishnamurti. In 1970, in a meeting
of the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, conducted in London,
Krishnamurti decided to create the fourth and last Foundation, it
was arranged that it must be located in Latin America and destined
to spread his teachings in Spanish language. (See Impact of Krishnamurti
by Salvador Sendra pag.105) Krishnamurti took part personally
in the writing of its Constitution Act and its Statutes and he signed
each leaf.
It was established
that Krishnamurti had the prerogative to designate the President
of the Board of directors of the Foundation while he lived, that
trustees and the location would have to change periodically. It
was also carefully detailed the diffusion activities and the mandate
of the President and directors was settled down to one year.
.
His first Board of directors designated by Krishnamurti was President
-Juan A. Farias; Secretary - Salvador Sedra; Treasurer -Felix Marquez;
Directors - Enrique Biascoechea and Miguel A. Quiñones.
The FKH
developed their activities normally and Krishnamurti decided that
the base of the Foundation stayed in Puerto Rico. In l971 when the
mandates were completed the renovation of the Board of directors
took place, with the agreement of Krishnamurti was constituted as
President -Enrique Biascoechea; Secretary - Rafael Quiñones
Vidal; The other members were reelected.
In l974, with
the death of Enrique Biascoechea, Krishnamurti designated as President
Isidoro Alfonso Colón, who continued as President until l990
- When his mandate was annually completed, Krishnamurti ratified
him in the position.- In l988, as proposed by Colón, the
Board of directors of the FKH, designated Bernardo Rudoy
as delegate in Argentina, and as of that moment represented the
FKH in the International Meetings of Directors of the Krishnamurti
Foundation, celebrated May 1, l989, in Ojai; and May 17, l990, in
Brockwood Park.
In that meeting,
Nora Francinetti who was the President of the FKH in Puerto
Rico, expressed her desire to resign and on February 5, 1991, Nora
Franchinetti, sent a letter to all the dependent Centers of Diffusion
of the Foundation, announcing that she had resigned as President,
that the administration of the FKH was transferred to Madrid,
Spain, place in which it would continue its activities; designating
Juan Colell to manage the legal recognition, and continuing the
Foundation created by Krishnamurti.
The disappearance
of the Fourth Foundation created by Krishnamurti.
Extraordinarily,
the legal entity proceedings for the FKH in Madrid were left
abandoned and simultaneously the Krishnamurti Foundation Latin-America
was created by Juan Colell in Barcelona, Cataluña, on July
21, l993, integrated by Juan Colell as President and other two directors
of Spain, stopping as of that date the life of the Fourth Foundation
created by Krishnamurti.
The reconstitution
of the Hispano-American Krishnamurti Foundation.
In
August of year 2001, the members of the Center of Krishnamurti
Diffusion of Argentina, created in 1974 with authorization of the
original Hispano-American Krishnamurti Foundation, before the little
one of diffusion of teaching in Latin America, created the present
Foundation, the one that an important activity has carried out,
counting Delegations in most of paises of the continent and counting
on near 1,600 people who have registered themself with the object of
receiving information of ours activities. The initial part of the
FKH statute , establish that proposal to continue the work of the
Fourth Foundation created by Krishnamurti, and make its work in
independent form and without economic support of the remaining
Krishnamurti Foundations.
